Privacy policy

I/We are clients of each of TCG Lending Centres (“Brokerage”) and of my Independent Mortgage Agent/Broker (“My Broker”) for these purposes: • arranging and/or renewing loan(s) / mortgage(s) and maintaining my client relationship, and • considering products approved by TCG Lending Centres or its affiliates that may interest me/us. I may opt out in writing at any time by informing my Independent Mortgage Agent/Broker.  and I/We consent and agree that for these purposes: The Brokerage and My Broker may collect: • personally identifiable information including, but not limited to, name, address, date of birth, email, phone number, social insurance number, income, assets, and liabilities (“Personal Information”). The Brokerage and My Broker may use my personal information to: • communicate with me electronically (email, SMS, etc.), • obtain personal information about me from consumer reporting agencies, credit bureaus, and real estate appraisers, and (if more than one client) about either/any of us from another, and ensure the accuracy of my personal information by contacting third parties, • provide my personal information to third parties (e.g., lenders). Each lender considering my application from TCG Lending Centres may: • obtain personal information about me from consumer reporting agencies, credit bureaus, and real estate appraisers, and (if more than one client) about either/any of us from another, and ensure the accuracy of my personal information by contacting third parties. The Brokerage, My Broker, and Lenders may: • retain and use my personal information for seven years after the last loan/mortgage application made on my behalf, or the end of the term of the loan/mortgage, or the end of any subsequent renewals, whichever is later. CLIENT DECLARATION AND CONFIRMATION: The Brokerage file holding my personal information (“My File”) • may be kept physically at the Brokerage or the office of my Broker until completion of my transaction; • after completion all original documents are returned to me, copies are securely destroyed, and the electronic file is sent to TCG Lending Centres head office for review and storage; • may be stored electronically by the Brokerage or my Broker; and • access is restricted to individuals having a need to deal with My File. I can: • review and correct personal information in My File; • request a copy of the Brokerage Privacy Policy from My Broker • request a copy of My Broker’s Privacy Policy from My Broker. Other: • I understand My Independent Mortgage Agent/Broker is not an employee of TCG Lending Centres; • The Brokerage and My Broker secure electronic services like portals and platforms for submitting applications, digital signing, and submitting supporting documents. Email or messaging platforms like social media, text, or SMS are not secure for transmitting important documents. If I choose to request or submit documents via email or messaging, or if my application needs to be sent to a Lender using email, I understand that it's not a secure method, and I accept the associated risks; • The Brokerage and My Broker may receive fees from each lender and may receive a program fee from the lender which varies with the mortgage interest rate and terms accepted by me.  Fees and program fees may be money, or goods and services having value to the recipient;  • Different lenders may provide the Brokerage and My Broker with different fees and incentives for similar products.  A Lender’s fees and incentives may also be dependent on amounts and types of business originated through Brokerage and My Broker; and • Each person signing below agrees that in this document “I”, “me”, and “my” refer to each of us. I/WE WARRANT AND CONFIRM ALL INFORMATION PROVIDED TO TCG LENDING CENTRES AND MY INDEPENDENT MORTGAGE BROKER/AGENT FOR ARRANGING MORTGAGE FINANCING IS COMPLETE, TRUE, AND ACCURATE. I/WE UNDERSTAND IT IS BEING USED TO DETERMINE MY/OUR CREDIT RESPONSIBILITY, PRODUCT SUITABILITY, AND AFFORDABILITY. I/WE AUTHORIZE THE BROKERAGE AND/OR MY BROKER TO OBTAIN AND/OR EXCHANGE PERSONAL INFORMATION WITH ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION AGENT TOWARDS ESTABLISHING OR VERIFYING MY FINANCIAL STANDING. YOU ARE FURTHERMORE AUTHORIZED TO DISCLOSE, IN RESPONSE TO DIRECT ENQUIRIES FROM ANY LENDER, CREDIT BUREAU, OR SERVICE PROVIDER SUCH INFORMATION AS YOU CONSIDER APPROPRIATE.   I/WE AGREE TO INDEMNIFY TCG LENDING CENTRES AND MY INDEPENDENT MORTGAGE BROKER/AGENT AGAINST AND SAVE THEM HARM FROM ANY AND ALL CLAIMS IN DAMAGES OR OTHERWISE ARISING FROM SUCH DISCLOSURE ON YOUR PART. YOU ARE ALSO AUTHORIZED TO RETAIN THE APPLICATION AND COPIES OF DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED BY LEGISLATION OR REGULATION WHETHER OR NOT THE RELATIVE MORTGAGE IS APPROVED.
